About Jayed Hasan
I am Jayed Hasan Towsif, a Civil Engineering student at Macquarie with a strong interest in mathematics, physics, and problem-solving. I enjoy teaching because I know how frustrating it can feel when a topic looks confusing at first but becomes clear after the right explanation.
My goal is to help students become more confident and independent learners. I do not just want students to copy answers; I want them to understand the thinking behind each step. In a time where many students rely heavily on AI and quick answers, I encourage students to think first, attempt the problem, and then improve their method.
I am patient, organized, and focused on clear explanations. My engineering background helps me explain math and physics in a logical, practical way, especially for students who need step-by-step support.

About the lesson

My lessons focus on helping students think before they are given the answer. Instead of immediately showing the solution, I first ask guiding questions, let the student brainstorm, and check what they already understand. This helps them build independent problem-solving skills rather than becoming too dependent on memorisation, calculators, or AI tools.
After the student has tried, I explain the concept clearly, show the step-by-step method, and work through practice questions with them. I focus on common mistakes, exam-style thinking, and how to write clear working.
A typical lesson is 1 hour, which gives enough time to review the topic, practise questions, and correct mistakes properly. For students preparing for tests or needing extra support, longer lessons can be arranged.
My lessons are mainly for Year 7–10 students who need help with maths, physics, homework, revision, or test preparation. As a Civil Engineering student, I use a practical and logical approach to make difficult topics easier to understand.
