About Audrey
I have 3 students currently taking “in person” lessons. They came from a background of inconsistent training and little to no preparation. In less than a year, one of my students was able to compete in a school state competition and win 3rd after having competed for several years with nothing to show for it. I was trained by multiple classically trained pianists with major degrees in music education and piano pedagogy. My grandmother (my primary teacher) was taught by a nationally renowned pianist for most of her life and competed in collegiate music. I competed throughout high school and sought private lessons with a doctor in music for a few years. My goal was not to become a performance artist, but to carry along the wonderful training I had in order to help young ambitious music students accomplish their dreams!

I specialize in helping students understand and apply the piano basic principles to their study. In a world where people play by ear, I want my students to understand concepts that are difficult for most musicians and set them up for success in their future training. I focus on finger technique, rhythm issues, building your strengths and discovering your weaknesses. I’ve assisted students with rhythm inconsistency, pedaling issues, and helped some discover deeper bad habits like holding their breath. I single out your stumbling blocks and help you overcome them so that you can progress to the level you want to achieve!
