About Fatima
I am a Clinical Nurse Specialist with 10 years' of experience working in a large teaching and trauma hospital in Sydney. Over the years, I've worked across medical, surgical and emergency nursing as well as in the infection prevention and control department, where I have stepped into Clinical Nurse Consultant roles. Supporting students and new nurses has always been a big part of my work, and it is genuinely the part I enjoy the most. I am a calm, warm person by nature, and mentoring others has always come very naturally to me. I completed my Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Technology, Sydney and then completed my Master of Brain and Mind Sciences at the University of Sydney. I also hold a Graduate Diploma in Psychology from the University of New South Wales and I am currently completing my Honors in Psychology at UTS. I've spent many years studying while working in busy clinical environments, so I understand the pressure, the overwhelm, and the self-doubt that can come with all of it. My approach is simple, clear and very practical, and I aim to create a non-judgmental space where students feel safe and supported. I focus on helping you build real academic and clinical confidence, by helping you understand the 'why' behind theory and practice, not just memorizing content. I'd love to support you through your journey as you build your knowledge, skills and confidence.

My lessons are practical, supportive, and focused on helping you feel confident in both your study and clinical practice. My teaching approach is grounded in real nursing experience, and I like to break things down into the simplest way of understanding. I always try to help students understand the 'why' behind things, as this is what builds true confidence and competence.
Most sessions run for about 60 minutes and are tailored to whatever you need, whether it is assessment support, clinical reasoning, OSCE or placement preparation, or confidence building. My goal is to make things feel clearer, less overwhelming, and genuinely achievable.
I am a Clinical Nurse Specialist with 10 years' experience across medical, surgical and emergency nursing as well as infection prevention and control roles, and I have mentored many students and new graduate nurses over the years. I also bring a strong academic background, including a Master of Brain and Mind Sciences and ongoing psychology studies, which helps me support students with resilience, effective learning and managing stress in a healthy way.
These lessons are ideal for University and TAFE nursing students, and new graduate nurses wanting structured, genuine support as they build their confidence.
