A subject such as basic medical sciences is best approached via problem based learning rather than traditional lectures. Background reading before the class will ensure the students will gain the most out of the experience. I encourage healthy discussions and exchange of ideas.
I am an orthopaedic surgeon by profession and I have a very keen interest in medical education. I di my basic medical degree with the University of Leicester in the UK and I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. I have previously been an Anatomy Demonstrator at the University of Dundee in the UK. As well as teaching anatomy, I also taught basic medical sciences such as physiology and pathology to medical and dental students. I was an honorary lecturer for medical students at the University of Brunei Darussalam. Throughout my career I have been involved in tutoring undergraduates and postgraduates in basic medical and surgical sciences and skills.
