Perfect! Kylie has been fantastic. We were looking for someone specific, not someone who would just lead the student forward or help with homework, but someone who could help us with the fundamental reason behind mathematics and computer science at the university level.
She understood the objective right away. Her sessions thoughtfully tie together mathematical proofs with program reasoning, including contracts and invariant, and focus on why something is true rather than just how to get an answer.
She keeps up a good pace, gives careful problems that probe the student's depth, and follows up in between sessions as needed.
What has impressed me most is her ability to identify the difference between intuitive understanding and the ability to organize that intuition into a rigorous, formal argument.
She is also honest about how much of her expertise she has and does not have, which I value very much.
Very knowledgeable, organized, responsive, and most importantly, an excellent teacher. Highly recommended.
