About Gabrielle
I've always helped my peers when they've come to me for assistance with a mathematical concept or application of a concept. Most recently, I've tutored a high school student who came to me when his grade dropped to a 59 in his Algebra class (he's given me permission to share that information). I identified and resolved problem areas in his understanding of general mathematical concepts and improved his performance via developing his problem-solving abilities and formative assessment-taking skills. After 2 months of working with him, he achieved a class grade of 91--roughly a 54% increase in his grade!!

I am a college graduate with a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. After identifying what needs to be worked on, I tailor lesson plans and methods to the student who I am teaching. I strive to ensure that students have a conceptual understanding of a topic that allows them to preform excellently on all types of assessments- including formative assessments.
