About Jake
Hi! I’m Jake — a college junior majoring in Biomechanics with a minor in Data Analytics. I have experience as a TA for Biology, Chemistry, Statistics, and Algebra 1 & 2. I have also led several large review sessions before exams at the request of my professors. I work with students of all ages and learning styles, focusing on clear explanations and patient support. I also prepare before each lesson so I can tailor examples to what the student is learning, helping them feel confident and ready for success.

I focus on helping students truly understand math and science, not just memorize answers. My lessons are relaxed, clear, and focused on making each concept make sense in a way that sticks long-term. Before each lesson, I ask students to send me a PDF or pictures of their homework, notes, or class material a few hours in advance. This allows me to prepare specific examples and tailor the session to their goals. Whether we’re working on fundamental elementary math and science concepts or more advanced topics like Pre-Calculus, Statistics, AP Chemistry, or AP Biology, I’ll meet you where you are and make each lesson clear, focused, and easy to follow.
