About Tayma
I have always been passionate about math and love seeing the smiles on students' faces after finally understanding the problem they have been struggling to solve. I teach math in a way that engages the students and gives them the opportunity to figure the answer through simple steps. Since middle school I was 2 years ahead of my grade in math. While in high school my friend struggled in Algebra. I would re-explain each lesson before her tests and give her multiple ways to answer a problem and let her choose the method that worked best for her. Before I tutored her she was nearly failing but with my help she was able to get an A. I currently work at an after-school program where kids ask me for help on their homework. I have been able to successfully reteach any math lesson and ensure they have got it by giving them extra problems and seeing how they answer them on their own.
