About Desiree
I have had straight A's in every English class I have taken, and was already at college level reading and writing by 12 years old. However, I do not believe that it has to "come naturally" to a person for them to be an excellent writer. While some may be further ahead than others, everyone has something to learn and improve upon, and my goal is to get everyone to a high proficiency no matter where they started.

Some things I can help you on:
- I can proofread your writing and offer catered feedback to highlight your already existing strengths and what you need to focus more on improving.
- I will explain any questions you may have, no matter how many times is needed until you truly understand it.
- I can provide grammar and spelling education as well as word choice, tone, and informal vs. formal writing.
- I can explain and guide you through the parts of an essay (i.e. theses, transitions between paragraphs, the introduction and conclusion, etc.)
- I will help with understanding rhetorical devices such as logos, pathos, and ethos.
This is just a sample of what I can help you with, but it is not a limited list! I am passionate about the art of communicating thoughts effectively and want you to be successful both academically as well as personally. Good writing opens doors that cannot be opened otherwise, and I believe it is a skill everyone is capable of learning if given the chance and care. I look forward to working with you!
