About Marcin

Hi! My name is Marcin and I am currently working as a freelance film colourist. I've had the priviledge of working in high-end post-production facilities in London and I am a certified Blackmagic Design Trainer. I love to spend my extra time teaching other passionate people about this craft! For me, it has the perfect mix of technical and creative to keep you busy all day, every day!

About the lesson

Like many of you I am a self-taught filmmaker, the problem with learning alone is often times the lack of direction or not following a logical path that would best aid your learning. This is why I am passionate about offering these lessons in my spare time, helping new aspiring colourists learn in an effective and fun manner. ---- I cover everything from a beginner level (Let's create your first project!) to advanced techniques (such as implementing DCTLs, working in various colour spaces and optimising the use of control surfaces) to everything in between (understanding the different tools in DaVinci and creating pleasing looks). ---- I am currently a Blackmagic Design Certified Trainer for DaVinci Resolve 17/18 working as a freelance colourist. My lessons usually take between 1-2h but I am open to other arrangements! and are targeted at both beginners and advanced users who want to polish their skills and knowledge.

Perfect! I signed up for the Davinci resolve classes as a complete beginner. Marcin was probably one of the best teachers I have ever had. His method of teaching allowed me to be proactively involved in the lessons and went out of his way to ensure I have material to practice with and provided homework projects. He is very patient which is so important as a learner and makes you feel at ease. He is a decent person and I don’t hesitate in recommending him. 10/10/10
