About Victoria
I have a long background in tutoring and teaching small classes, which started when I was 16 teaching primary school children Latin and most recently involved home educating my own primary school aged children until this year. In between, I have taught English as a foreign language to adults and secondary school children in Germany, the history and structure of the German language, General Linguistics and grammatical analysis to Oxford undergraduates during my PhD, and German GCSE and A level to British school students as part of my PGCE.

My approach is entirely tailored to you as a student. Initially, I work with you to create your goals based on your previous experience and confidence level. Using the best online and offline resources, in addition to my own, we work together to improve your German skills in the key areas of speaking, listening, reading and writing, focusing on consolidating grammatical concepts and widening vocabulary. While I always aim to meet your individual learning needs, I aim to use as much target language as possible to increase your confidence in the language and to make it fun!
