About James
I’m a young professional who’s been working in London since 2018 after finishing university. I love meeting new people and helping them develop skills to improve their confidence and achieve the goals they’ve set.
I read History & Literature at university, which meant structuring compelling arguments was fundamental to success.
I achieved a First Class degree after three years, which consisted of countless essays over the years and culminated with a 12,000 word dissertation analysing housing & education policy reform under President Johnson.
I now work at Depop, helping our global community of ~30 million users to thrive by managing relationships between the Product, Engineering & Operations teams.

Lessons would take a student centred approach, looking to facilitate the individual’s learning and development. We would target areas for improvement by using examples of previous work provided by the student, looking in depth at how structure and approach can be nuanced. Once completed, we will then undertake ‘practice’ questions and apply the skills. Essay writing is a skill, and like all other skills - practice makes perfect. Repetition is key
