I love working with a Demonstration-Detail-Drill methodology, taught to me by a martial arts professor. Starting with demonstration, so a concept being introduced and giving examples, followed by the details to further explain and break down the concept. Finally, getting to try out different types of practices and repetition, and then being able to perform by one’s self.
