My main goal when kids Python is to teach them how a programmer thinks and the thought processes behind codes they write.
Because, just like with any language, if the meaning behind your words is on point, you don't need fancy words to have an impact ( or fancy functions*, in nerd terms ).
And in the future, if they ever decide to learn another programming language, they have the solid foundation to easily learn any language they'd like.
