About あいか

Hello! I'm Aika. I'm a native Japanese speaker with a science background. I deeply value each person's unique background and experience of living in a different culture 🪽 Rather than just a teacher, please think of me as a partner you can mainly feel comfortable talking with me! I worked at a construction company for 10 years (design and construction management) and completed graduate school. With my professional experience and analytical background, I provide structured and easy-to-understand lessons. Currently, I teach: ★Beginners to intermediate learners who want to build a strong foundation ︎★Students who want to improve steadily using textbooks ★︎International students living in Japan ︎★Those who hope to work in Japan in the future ︎★People who love Japanese culture [About Me] Hobbies: I love Studio Ghibli movies, traveling abroad, films, and illustration. I've visited 22 countries. I'm interested in the personal stories of those living within different cultures! I've lived in: Yamanashi, Tokyo, Miyagi, Hokkaido, Fukuoka, and Iwate

About the lesson

★Lesson Content Beginner: Genki (textbook) Intermediate: Quartet (textbook) Advanced: Conversation practice (casual conversation / articles & news), Business Japanese (presentations, report and document correction) New vocabulary and expressions are shared via Google Docs! I can also create vocabulary cards when needed. My lessons focus not on “speaking somehow,” but on building a solid foundation and Japanese you can truly use! Beginners are very welcome developing 🩵 I use many illustrations to make lessons visually clear and easy to understand! Trial lesson: 25 minutes ★During lessons, I mainly teach in Japanese! This means you will have many opportunities to speak Japanese (Simple English support available.) ★Please keep your camera ON during lessons ♪ 【Background】 ★10 years at a construction company (design & construction management) ★Science degree → Graduate school in construction/engineering ★Support available for engineers and business Japanese ★Experience teaching international students and working professionals ※ Business and specialized Japanese are also available.
