I teach my students in a very conversational manner. Personally, I believe that, though teachers may know slightly more than their students, they are also able to learn from them in kind. As such, I will address any concerns you have, be it with your knowledge or understanding of specific topics, within the lessons we have. Preferably, if there is something you would like to cover during our one-to-ones, I would like to know in order to prepare, but otherwise, I will fo my best to answer your questions as best I can. If you require more structure in order to learn, then I can adapt to your needs, as I like to think of myself as a fairly flexible person.
I am a composition student, currently studying a Bachelor of Music and already in possession of a Diploma of Music. My musical interests are varied, having written graphic scores, chamber works and electronic soundscapes. Academically, I my knowledge is sound, having finished the year with a GPA of 6.2 (which included 7s for music theory), putting my in the top 5% of overall GPAs for the entirety of Griffith University for the year 2019. On top of this, I have just under a year's worth of teaching an tutoring experience, having worked previously as a drama tutor.
