About Gift
I am a Computer Engineering student with a strong academic foundation in Mathematics, Physics, and technical problem-solving. I completed my first and second years and most third-year coursework in a BEng Computer Engineering programme at the University of Pretoria.
My studies developed my ability to break complex problems into manageable steps, explain methods clearly, and apply mathematical and physical principles in practical contexts. I understand that learners often struggle not because they cannot do the work, but because a key concept was never explained in a way that connects for them.
I aim to create a patient, supportive learning environment where questions are welcome and progress is built steadily. I enjoy helping learners become more confident with challenging topics and develop problem-solving skills they can use independently.

My lessons are designed to make Maths and Physics easier to understand by focusing on the reasoning behind each method, not only memorising formulae.
I tutor learners from Grade 8 to Grade 12 and can assist with topics such as algebra, functions, trigonometry, calculus, mechanics, electricity, waves, and exam preparation.
Each lesson starts by identifying the learner’s current understanding and specific challenges. We then work through concepts step by step, practise worked examples together, and build confidence with questions similar to tests and exams.
I am patient, structured, and comfortable explaining the same idea in different ways until it makes sense. My Computer Engineering background has given me a strong foundation in mathematical problem-solving and Physics-based thinking.
Lessons can be held online. The first lesson can be used to assess goals, identify difficult topics, and create a focused approach for improvement.
