About Samuel
While I am still relatively new to superprof I have been tutoring for over 7 years. I have helped a wide age range of students in a wide variety of subjects but I specialize in Computer Science tutoring. In high school, I achieved an AP score of 5 (the highest possible) on both the Computer Science Principles and the Computer Science A AP exams and began tutoring these subjects.
I am very familiar with the formats of the tests in college-level Computer Science courses, and I have been trained in Java, Python, and some JavaScript, so I am prepared to help in any of these languages.
I find great satisfaction in helping you (or your daughter or son) succeed, and as a Computer Engineering Ph.D. student at one of America’s top colleges, I am constantly learning new skills which I hope to use to help you or your child. I focus on assignment and project help as well as concentrating on the fundamentals of programming as a language-agnostic skill.
A lesson will look like this:
1. Review of the last lesson.
2. Examining assignments or projects.
3. Introducing Concepts
4. Planning the execution (of assignment or project)
5. Review of the lesson.
My lesson style is practical and focuses on what the student needs to know. I spend time more on conceptual learning so the student is able to transfer his/her knowledge to otherprogramming languages.
