About Daniel

I am a professional with more than a decade of experience in software development. I am excited about the creative potential of digital technologies and helping to connect users with software solutions that make their lives easier, empowering them in their activities and processes.
Computer science and software development are fascinating, it is almost unbelievable how from very simple elements (0 and 1, logic gates, arithmetic operations, etc.) we can gradually add more complexity until we reach the technology that we take for granted nowadays. I am very excited to be able to share that fascination with anyone who has an interest in learning. During my career I have had the opportunity to mentor several professionals, it is a very pleasant experience to share my knowledge and see how others improve their skills and the quality of their work thanks to it. I also like the idea of contributing to improving the technological culture of the general public, bringing them closer to a better understanding of the mechanisms and processes that underlie many of the tools on which we depend for our daily tasks.

About the lesson

Software development is so fascinating and has so much potential, that it is impossible to resist the urge to share it with others! I would like to show you the incredible things you can achieve by programming.

My classes are aimed at:
1. People who want to venture into software development but do not necessarily have previous experience (a plus is to be studying or have studied a related career: Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, etc.)
2. Professionals at the Junior and Mid level who seek to improve their skills, learn about best practices and learn about the most popular technologies.

During class, we will talk a little about theory, but most of the class will be practical, as there is no better way to learn a subject than to get down to work.

As software development is a fairly extensive subject, I will prepare the class according to your concerns and needs, also seeking to develop a project during the course, so that at the end you have a functional prototype with which to show off your new knowledge and which you can improve and extend as you wish. Believe me, one of the most satisfying things is building something by yourself.

I leave you a selection of topics that we can address in class:

- Fundamentals of Computer Science: data structures, algorithms, time and space complexity analysis, systems design.
- Software Engineering: code versioning, TDD (test driven development), test automation, best practices (SOLID, KISS, etc), software architecture, problem decomposition, defensive programming, API design.
- Machine learning and deep learning fundamentals using octave/python.
- Languages and frameworks: C#, javascript, html, css, F#, python, matlab/octave, ruby, sql, .NET 6, NodeJS, Angular, React.
