About Hamunaptra
I graduated from the University of North Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. In December 2024, I began hunting for a job within my field, and in the process, I rediscovered my love for tutoring. I have been helping a few friends with assignments, giving advice, and assisting them on their way to completing their degrees. I have assisted in various subjects: English, Math, Programming, etc. But my favorite thing to tutor is math subjects, such as College Algebra, Algebra 1, Calculus 1, Pre-Calculus, and Algebra 2.
I have been a tutor for two years now on various platforms, with consistently high ratings.
Tutoring is my sole income, and I have helped many students do well and pass their classes.

My tutoring style adapts to a student's comfort level and skill level, but the main aspect of my style is to teach simply without the use of complicated terms. Students tend to learn better when things are explained simply without the use of overcomplicated terms and verbiage they wouldn't understand yet. I have learned that instead of teaching in a rigid fashion, if there are multiple ways to solve a problem, teach those as well. Every student is wired differently, so some other methods may work better for another student. Most importantly, I have learned that patience is the key when assisting a student, especially in a topic such as math. Everyone learns at their own speed, and being accommodating to their pace of learning is key for them to understand. While math is a difficult subject for many, it doesn't HAVE to be as difficult as it is. My goal is to make math a subject that is much easier to learn and conquer.
A typical lesson plan is also very flexible and based on the student's needs. If a student is not in school and/or does not have materials to provide, a benchmark test is done to assess the student's knowledge and a simple curriculum is formed based on the results of that benchmark.
These lessons are for middle school students and up to college students.
