About Dylan
I'm an entry-level Computer Scientist/Engineer currently working out in the research field.
I earned my B.S. in Electrical & Computer Engineering with a second major in Computer & Information Science at SUNY Polytechnic Institute. I tutored Mathematics, Physical Sciences, and Computer Sciences all through undergrad and I really enjoy helping people. I am a firm believer that anyone can make it in this field and that there is no such thing as a dumb question. I like to bring theory to my discussions, because I find that knowing "why" is often as important as knowing "how".

When teaching/tutoring, I make sure to read the room and gauge the student(s)' comprehension. When engaging in a particular topic, I often like to give some background information/theory in the form of a brief discussion. Understanding such fundamentals is absolutely necessary in my opinion. I am confident in my own knowledge and ability to break any topic/problem down into it's most basic components. That being said, I understand that everyone's brain is wired a little differently. My job as an educator is to determine how you learn best and then proceed in that fashion. If something doesn't quite click, I will find a new way to phrase it until it does.
