About Violet
Hello! My name is Violet, I am an undergraduate at Bath Spa University studying International Relations and Politics. I aspire to work in France upon completing my degree, within the humanitarian sector. I was raised in a French school and therefore relate strongly to French culture - I am passionate about language learning in general! I'm a big believer that cultural assimilation is the most vital factor in learning a language and therefore always advice students to immerse themselves in the culture of a language and not just remain glued to grammar books and academic texts. Watching films, listening to podcasts and music- this is the way to master a language!

I would like to structure the lesson around the area the student is struggling with the most and then break it down into achievable goals of what would be mastered by the end of each class. I would like to remain focused on each area - for example: the past tense, until the student is fully confident in it as I don't believe in rushing the learning process. I like to listen to the learning style and tailor my teaching style to each individual student's unique needs; there is no point in conducting visual exercises if a student learns best by written exercises or trial and error, or through conversation. I would be best suited to tutor students who are studying for their GCSE French qualification.
