About Mimi
Hi! I am currently a third year student studying piano at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, and I love to teach!
I've been playing the piano for 10 years now, and it is one of my favourite things in this world. I have my ARSM diploma in piano performance, as well as five years of experience teaching the piano.
I've performed in multiple concerts, am and have been in chamber ensembles, accompanied musicians, played in musicals, masterclasses, etc. Playing the piano is something that everyone should get to experience and enjoy, since it's a way to express yourself when you can't verbally - it's an entire language in itself.

Scales are an absolute must! (but they're only a small part of the lessons). If the student is on the lower levels, then one - two pieces will be covered in the lesson depending on the time, and two - three pieces for the higher grades.
If the student doesn't have a love for the piece then we're not doing it! Music may have a technical side to it, but the emotion of playing is far more important. In these lessons you'll learn to express what you can't with words, to tell stories, and just have fun with the music.
Lessons vary from 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the standard and age of the student (of course if they want longer that's completely doable!).
I have been on and off tutoring the piano for the past five years. I have my ARSM diploma in piano performance, and am currently in my third year at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire studying piano for my Music Bmus.
I absolutely adore sharing my love for the piano with those who have a keen interest for the instrument, and welcome anyone of any age and level to have a lesson with me!
