About Luke
I'm a 20-year-old university student and performing musician, originally from a farm near Moora, though now live and teach in Dalkeith. I have a huge love for music and can talk your ear off about almost any genre, and because of this am happy to teach and foster passion for a great variety of contemporary guitar styles, with my greatest passion being rock and the blues. I was a boarder at CCGS for the entirety of my high school education and did 4 years of weekly contemporary guitar there, as well as multiple performances. Since finishing school, I have performed in multiple groups and ensembles, with a highlight performance being the 2024 RSD battle of the bands at Metro City in Northbridge.

I specialize primarily in teaching beginners and intermediate players teaching out of my home in Dalkeith and can also travel up to 20km to teach at your home or a suitable public space. My goals are to give students an essential understanding of the instrument and some core theory, to allow students to develop competency to learn (and write if they choose) songs on their own. Typical lessons go for 1 hour; however, I can do double lessons (2 hours) upon request, these can be useful when preparing a student for a performance.
My teaching methodology stems from my time writing, producing and performing music over the last 5 years and my time receiving tuition in the CCGS music program. I'm happy to teach all ages, but generally teach children and teens.
