I start everyone off playing simple music in a style they are familiar and engaged in to get them comfortable on their instrument, then use their own personal goals and intentions with the instrument to guide their progression. Beyond initial familiarity the student will become comfortable reading guitar tablature and basic sheet music, improvisation, and an understanding of how contemporary music operates.
I have lots of experience and theories regarding the Australian music scene if growing their instrumental abilities into an eventual career is something that the student finds themselves with a growing interest for I would be a very relevant and helpful resource.
With all of this in mind the curriculum would be different for every student but I would be excited to find the right methodology for you to help you flourish as an instrumentalist and as a musician.
Thank you!
