About Viya
My path to architecture began with a fascination for spaces that could evoke emotion—the hush of a library, the awe of a cathedral, the warmth of a small home filled with light. That emotional power of structure drew me into the field, and for the past eight years, I’ve been guiding students to discover their own architectural voices. I teach architecture as both a craft and a philosophy. My approach emphasizes empathy, environmental awareness, and creative problem-solving. I encourage students to explore not just how to build, but why to build—what purpose their designs serve and what experiences they create. Lessons combine critical feedback with personal growth, fostering both technical competence and artistic maturity. Beyond teaching, I remain active in sustainable design initiatives, architectural competitions, and mentorship programs for young designers. For me, teaching architecture means more than passing on knowledge—it’s about empowering visionaries who will build the future with intelligence, sensitivity, and heart.

In my architecture lessons, I emphasize one profound truth: design is the art of empathy. Every structure we create tells a story about human needs, cultural identity, and our relationship with the environment. My lessons help students think critically about this relationship, combining artistic imagination with structural reasoning to design spaces that speak with purpose and grace.
Beginners explore fundamental design principles—form, proportion, and rhythm—through sketches, models, and digital visualization. Intermediate learners transition to CAD software, studying materials, ergonomics, and sustainable planning. Advanced students work on complex design projects, integrating cultural context, environmental factors, and technical details into cohesive, creative expressions. Lessons mimic real studio environments with critiques, revisions, and presentations that refine both concept and craft.
Each class is a dialogue between creativity and discipline. I encourage students to think not just as designers but as storytellers—each line drawn or wall built carries meaning. My goal is to nurture architects who not only construct but also communicate through space.
