About Emily
I'm an illustrator with a lifelong love of helping people feel more confident with computers. It started when I was 9, helping my mum create worksheets for her primary school class using Microsoft Word — she found it stressful, but I loved it. Since then, I’ve gone on to teach digital skills at university level and work as a professional illustrator across campaigns, packaging, research, and large-scale murals. I design all my mural artwork digitally on my iPad before painting it by hand. Outside of my creative work, I use digital tools to write blog posts, manage my finances, and even keep track of my shopping list. I know how empowering these tools can be — once you’re shown how to make them work for you, not against you.

Hello, I'm Emily – a professional illustrator, muralist and designer with 3 years' experience teaching digital skills to BA Illustration students at university level. I’ve helped even the most tech-wary students discover the joy and benefits of the digital world – and how traditional and digital techniques can enhance each other beautifully. I prefer to work on a project together, so that each lesson builds on the last and you leave with something you’re genuinely proud of after every session and at the end of the course. Each lesson is 55 minutes long and tailored to your needs. We'll figure out the best plan for you during the first session, which I offer for free. If you're a complete beginner, I’d love to help you feel more confident using your computer, phone or iPad — no pressure, no jargon, and definitely no fear of “breaking” anything by clicking the wrong button. I work with all ages and hold an enhanced DBS certificate.
