About Julie
Seven years ago I started making music just to see if I could make an idea stick. It is funny how that curiosity turned into a career where I now help singer songwriters and home studio owners finish their tracks. My Diploma of Music Industry from TAFE gave me the technical foundation to support my creative instincts.
I have taught a wide range of students over these 7 years of teaching. Most people walk away from our time together with finished songs that are ready for release.
I provide honest and specific feedback between our meetings to keep your momentum going. My goal is to ensure you feel confident in your own sound. I am ready to turn your half finished projects into reality.

You might expect us to spend hours staring at a manual, but our time is actually spent inside a real session style workflow. We focus on gain staging and signal flow so your tracks stay clean from the start.
I show you how to use audio effects creatively to build depth in your arrangements. We also spend time on recording and tracking to capture your best performances. You will learn drum programming and beat making techniques that give your project a professional edge. We use reference mixing to check your progress against your favorite songs.
