About Margaret
I am an artist and creative writer as well as being a qualified teacher. I have worked as a contract art teacher and have run tutoring programmes for primary to secondary. I use art across the curriculum (eg in maths and english) to teach important concepts in these subjects. My students have benefited from this hands on approach to learning and I have testimonials from parents to show their school performance and attitude has greatly improved during the time of teaching/tuition.

I believe learning should be fun so I use games and art experiences to make it less abstract and help fix ideas in visual memory. I find this works very well with students whose learning style doesn't always match the way they are being taught. Such students are often labelled inappropriately as 'slow learners'or 'disinterested'. Stimulating the imagination is a very important key to learning.
