About Reaver
Hi, I’m William, a medical student based in Brisbane, and I’m passionate about helping students become more confident and capable learners.
I understand that every student learns differently. Some students may need help building their foundations, while others may understand the content but struggle to express their ideas clearly or perform under exam conditions. My approach is to identify what each student needs and tailor lessons accordingly.
For English, I can help students develop their skills in essay writing, comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, analysing texts, structuring arguments and preparing for assessments and exams. I can also help them gain confidence in structuring and delivering oratory pieces/speeches as needed. I aim to explain concepts clearly and practically, using examples and guidance, rather than simply giving students answers.
As a medical student, I have developed strong skills in communication, organisation, critical thinking and studying effectively. I also understand the pressure that students can experience around assessments and exams, which allows me to provide guidance that is both academically focused and encouraging.
My goal is to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I want students to leave each lesson not only knowing more, but feeling more confident about tackling their work independently.
I primarily tutor students from primary school through to Year 10, and I am also available to support Year 11–12 students, particularly with English, essay writing, speech skills and assessment preparation.
Whether your child needs help catching up, consolidating their skills, preparing for an upcoming assessment, or simply building confidence, I’m happy to work with them to set realistic goals and make steady progress.

- As a medical student, I take a structured, student-centered approach to tutoring. I focus on building strong foundations in English while adapting lessons to each student’s strengths, weaknesses and learning style. Lessons may include guided practice, worked examples, discussion, essay planning, feedback and exam-style questions. I aim to make English practical and engaging while developing students’ confidence and independent study skills.
- Lessons are typically 60 minutes, with longer sessions available for senior students or exam preparation.
- I am currently a medical student in Brisbane, with extensive experience in academic study, written communication and preparing for high-stakes examinations. I bring a disciplined and supportive approach to tutoring and understand the importance of clear explanations, constructive feedback and consistent improvement.
- I primarily tutor English students from primary school through to Year 10, with lessons tailored to the student’s current level and curriculum. I am also happy to work with Year 11–12 students, particularly those seeking help with essay writing, comprehension, analytical skills and assessment preparation. I am also available to help in refining oratory/speech skills as needed.
