About Wathmi
I am currently a 4th year medical student at the University of Notre Dame. Prior to this, I have completed a Bachelor of Medical Science with Honors at the Australian National University. I am not only fascinated by science in general whether that be biology or chemistry, but I am an enthusiastic teacher who enjoys spreading the knowledge and sharing the tips and tricks that help us grasp difficult concepts. I enjoy teaching and find great joy when a student is able to understand a concept they previously were struggling with and they are able to not only answer questions related to that but also explain the concept back to me. I also take part in netball and running in my downtime as well as enjoy artistic activities as well. I approach my lessons in a friendly and patient manner creating a comfortable environment for learning and growth.

As a passionate educator I work with students in a patient manner helping them understand the process of grasping a concept and putting it into practice. I am a strong believer of practice makes perfect, so with the provision of practice questions, I will be working with students to improve confidence in the subject area.
My teaching methodology involves providing the foundation to help grasp a concept well and then giving the students some practice questions to then apply the concepts learnt.
Questions are encouraged throughout the session to ensure a thorough understanding of the subject area and application is key in my sessions.
I provide tutoring for mathematics, biology and chemistry for students in years 7-10 in Sydney and I have online availability as well for those not in Sydney.
I also provide GAMSAT tutoring and medical interview tutoring for those applying to the post-graduate medical programs. These sessions involve providing tips and tricks for approaching the sections and doing multiple interview style questions to get comfortable in approaching a medical interview.
