About Anita
I am a current Aeronautical Engineering student with a passion for the mathematics subject. My journey to loving the subject wasn’t always through being a high achiever like a lot of people. I used to perform at an average level back at school. But that was accompanied with having a deep interest in maths and being intrigued by it, so I used that to self-teach myself the subject and got an offer to study a challenging course where maths is at the core after achieving in the 90+ percentile. From A level to now my mathematical ability has greatly increased. I went from an average student at college to highly achieving consistently at university maths modules. I am showing you that to be great at maths, you don’t have to be a high achiever from the onset. I believe you can become great at this wonderful subject no matter where you are now.

My technique is all about patience, in-depth understanding and developing confidence to repeat without guidance. I aim for my tutees to be comfortable in my presence to make mistakes and learn from them. I also work at finding multiple approaches to maths solutions and allowing the tutee to choose their preferred way. It is all about the tutee. Typical lesson length will range from 45-60 minutes but flexibility is allowed. My previous experience is minor, up to a year of tutoring online due to the pandemic and juggling university. I also run maths tutorials for 1st year Aeronautical undergraduates. My real experience is my passion to help others in a subject I love. Lessons are for any age tutees studying for GCSE and A level qualifications or adults needing basic mathematics logic.
