About Ruby
Hello!
My name is Ruby and I am studying a Bachelor of Music (Performance - Voice & Trumpet) at The University of Melbourne.
I play the piano, violin, trumpet, guitar and I sing - so one might say that music is my whole life. I sing with the Choir of Trinity College, Melbourne & VOYCE (Victorian Opera Youth Chorus Ensemble) as well as university ensembles.
My favourite composer is Fauré and my favourite musical is Les Mis!

My teaching technique is grounded in strong technical ability - good aural and sight-reading skills, theory knowledge, and accurate + healthy technique. I believe that singers are often undertaught these important skills in favor of going through heaps of repertoire, but I am capable of teaching you lots of fun pieces while still helping with your overall musicianship.
I have taught private lessons and choirs for the last year, and am anticipating graduating from my degree in 2027.
I can travel, lessons can occur at my home, or at The Victorian College of The Arts Southbank campus! Lessons will go for 30-60 minutes, depending on age and experience (I recommend 30 minutes for beginners/young children!)
