About Suly

Hi! I'm a college student studying biology on the pre-med track, and I love helping others build confidence in math, especially in geometry and algebra. I know from experience that math can feel overwhelming at times, but with the right support and clear explanations, anyone can improve and even start to enjoy learning. My tutoring style is patient, supportive, and flexible. I take the time to explain concepts step by step, using examples that make sense and adjusting my approach based on how you learn best. Whether you're preparing for a test, catching up on assignments, or just need someone to explain things in a more relatable way, I’m here to help. I’ve worked with students from middle school through early college. I always aim to create a welcoming environment where you feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning at your own pace. Something that makes me a little different is that I’m bilingual. I can read and write in Spanish, which can be especially helpful if you or your family prefer communicating in Spanish. More than anything, I care about helping you feel more confident and capable in math. I’m here to support your growth and help you reach your goals.

About the lesson

As a college student on the biology pre-med track, I understand how important a strong foundation in math is not just for success in school, but for building confidence in problem-solving and logical thinking. My tutoring approach focuses on making geometry and algebra more accessible by breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps. I tailor each session to the student’s learning style, using visual aids, real-life examples, and lots of guided practice.
A typical lesson starts with a quick review of previous material to reinforce understanding, followed by a focused explanation of new concepts. I then walk students through examples and give them a chance to solve problems on their own with support as needed. I always leave time at the end for questions and clarification.
What sets me apart is my patience and ability to explain topics from a student’s perspective. As someone currently in college, I’m close in age to many of my students, which helps me relate to their challenges and communicate in a way that feels approachable and encouraging.
My lessons are ideal for middle school to early college students who are struggling with or want to improve their skills in geometry and algebra. Whether you're preparing for exams, catching up on missed content, or aiming to boost your grades, I’m here to help you succeed step by step.
