About Kevin
I am extremely passionate about nature and the life on our planet. I have spent the majority of my adult life traveling to study biodiversity-rich habitats around the world, meeting researchers and guides who know the ecology of these areas well, and share a passion for understanding it (and teaching it) with me.
My teaching style revolves around sharing these passions and motivating students to want to learn the importance of these disciplines as they apply to how our planet really operates, tying together the interconnectedness of all life on Earth and how this might affect their own lives as they navigate their chosen paths into adulthood. Knowing these topics for school is one thing, but as a professional educator, I take pride in bringing science literacy to a whole new generation.

My focus as an educator is on developing meaningful lessons that connect science to a student's everyday life around them, as well as bringing different cultural backgrounds into the classroom from my experience in the field.
I have access to many self-developed lessons, lectures, and hands-on activities that really focus on helping children to understand that these subjects are all around us all the time and affect how we make our way through life, whether we realize it or not.
I am able to modify lessons for simplicity or add more difficult layers depending on the students I am working with and the goals in mind. I'm open to working with students of any age, ability, and grade level!
