About Tayyaba

I am a current HSC student with a strong academic and leadership background. I was House Captain in Year 10, Vice Captain in Year 12, and have been an SRC member from Years 10-12, giving me extensive experience working with and supporting other students.

I have also participated in public speaking and debating competitions, including winning a debating competition, which has strengthened my communication, confidence and ability to explain ideas clearly.

Alongside my school experience, I have 3 years of customer service experience, which has helped me develop strong communication, patience, organization and interpersonal skills. I am approachable and understand the importance of creating a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions and making mistakes while learning.

As a current HSC student, I understand the challenges students face with schoolwork, assessments and exams, and I aim to use my own experience to help students become more confident and independent in their learning.

About the lesson

My approach is focused on making lessons clear, structured and suited to each student’s individual needs. I first identify the areas the student is struggling with, then explain concepts step-by-step before working through examples and practice questions together.

I use a combination of clear explanations, worked examples, active questioning, practice questions, feedback and revision techniques. For English and humanities subjects, I can also help students develop essay structures, understand questions and improve their written responses. For Biology, I focus on understanding key concepts before moving into exam-style questions and applying knowledge.

Lessons are typically 1 hour, although this can be adjusted depending on the student and subject.

I am a current HSC student studying under the NSW curriculum, with experience completing school assessments, examinations and HSC-style tasks. While I am not a qualified teacher, I can provide support based on my own experience with the current curriculum and study requirements.

My lessons are suitable for students in Years 7–11, generally around 12–17 years old, who need support with English, Biology, Business Studies or Legal Studies.
