About Kan
My name is Derek, and I am currently pursuing a Master of Economics at the University of Queensland (UQ). I achieved High Distinction (HD) in both of my first-semester mathematics courses and have passed CFA Level III, which reflects my strong understanding of finance and quantitative concepts.
In my teaching, I follow the structured approach found in world-renowned textbooks, focusing on building both theoretical understanding and practical application. My methodology emphasizes clarity, engagement, and helping students gain confidence in solving real-world problems.
I will be teaching introductory statistics, econometrics, and fixed income.
