About Sebastian
I'm a first-year Mechanical Engineering and Physics student at UWA, and I tutor ATAR Maths and Physics because I genuinely love helping students overcome the challenges of ATAR that once frustrated me too.
I was in your shoes less than a year ago, grinding through Year 12, stressing about exams, and trying to make sense of concepts that teachers explained too quickly. That recent experience is my biggest asset as a tutor - I remember which topics trip people up, what the examiners actually care about, and how to make it all click when the textbook explanations fall flat.
I'm not here to just recite formulas. I'm here to be the person I wish I'd had - explaining things in plain English, showing you the shortcuts that actually work, and genuinely working to improve your exam performance.
Originally from Albany and now based in Perth, I balance my engineering and physics studies with tutoring because teaching forces me to stay sharp on fundamentals while helping others succeed. When I'm not studying or tutoring, you'll find me playing AFL, on the golf course or getting involved with university life.

My Teaching Approach;
I focus on building genuine understanding rather than memorization. Having recently completed WACE ATAR myself, I know exactly what it's like to sit where you're sitting - and the strategies that actually work in exams.
My method is simple: we tackle problems together, I show you the patterns examiners love to test, and we build your confidence through practice that mirrors real exam conditions. I will break down the often complex concepts into manageable steps and connect them to your conceptual understanding, so you're not just following formulas blindly.
Lesson Structure
Typical lesson: 60-90 minutes
- Quick review of previous concepts
- Targeted teaching on problem areas
- Worked examples with increasing difficulty
- Exam-style practice problems where you take the lead
- Further exam technique and time management strategies
My Background
Currently studying Mechanical Engineering and Physics (double degree) at the University of Western Australia, which keeps me sharp on the content you're learning. I completed my ATAR in 2025 with Maths Specialist, Maths Methods, Literature, Chemistry, and Physics - so the curriculum changes, exam formats, and pressure points are fresh in my mind.
