About Lara
Hi! My name is Lara and I graduated from St Catherine's School in 2022 and am currently studying a Bachelor of Biomedicine at the University of Melbourne. During my VCE studies I undertook English, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematical Methods, Specialist Mathematics and Chinese Second Language. My specialty subject within my VCE tutoring services would be English, in which I obtained a raw study score of 47.
Having just recently graduated Year 12, I understand the challenge associated with approaching your VCE and secondary studies, and how daunting everything can initially seem. Therefore, I would love to impart my knowledge, and passion for learning to any student seeking to attain their best possible results in their studies this year!

Lessons for VCE English:
I understand that finding balance during your VCE journey is one of the most challenging aspects of your final years of schooling. Thereby, I will be directing your focus towards building time-efficient and pro-active preparation habits, in order to maintain success across all your VCE subjects.
After familiarising you with the VCE English study design, I will work with you to target your strengths and weaknesses, with a predominant focus upon improving your weaknesses (ie. essay structure, vocabulary, key themes, organisation of ideas, etc). In preparation for SACs and exams, I will ensure you have been exposed to a wide range of themes/ideas/topics to consolidate a comprehensive understanding of all texts.
Lessons for secondary students (years 7-10):
For students in years 7-10, I will help you to establish a solid learning foundation prior to entering your higher-level VCE studies. In preparation for tests and exams, I will work with you to develop the confidence and skills necessary to build success.
