My approach to teaching is student-centered, recognizing that every learner absorbs information at their own pace. I emphasize differentiated instruction by adapting lessons to meet individual needs, whether through hands-on activities, visual aids, or scaffolded questioning. By encouraging active learning, I help students think critically, ask questions, and apply concepts through discussions and interactive exercises. Additionally, I use assessment data to tailor instruction, ensuring targeted interventions when necessary.
A typical lesson begins with a warm-up and review to activate prior knowledge, followed by the introduction of a new concept using multiple representations, such as visual, auditory, and hands-on methods. Afterward, students engage in guided practice, where we work through examples together, allowing for questions and checks for understanding. They then apply their learning through independent or collaborative practice, where they problem-solve or work in groups. The lesson wraps up with a recap and reflection, ensuring key takeaways are reinforced and any remaining questions are addressed.
