About Malikah
I’m currently in my first year of pharmacy, so I completely understand what it feels like to be overwhelmed with studying.
As someone who loved science, there were times where I struggled. Those times I made sure to reach out for help too.
That’s why I’m here.
I will break down hard concepts to help it make sense to you. I will help build your confidence and boost your grades. Hopefully I will also help make you like the subject a bit more too.
Learning is hard and keeping that information in your head is harder, but I’ll be here to help you with all of it.

About the lesson

Before starting lessons, I will discuss with a student what they want to achieve as well as their strengths and weaknesses. From this, I will create a tailored plan based on their needs.
Each lesson will start with a few questions, just so I can see how confident a student is feeling in different topics. If a student struggles with one of the topics in the starter questions, I will ensure that topic is our next lesson. These questions will be exam questions from the exam board the student is learning from to help with building confidence in their exam skills as they will be used to seeing them. Exam questions can be hard, so if the student finds any difficulty with them, we will go through it step by step.
I will be using presentation slides to focus on new topics, with tasks scattered throughout to test their understanding regularly. Previous lessons will be recapped too to ensure it stays in their long-term memory, as well as it being tested. When being tested, students will be asked to talk how they got to their answer to help with confidence and increases critical thinking.
At the end of each lesson, we will reflect on what has been taught and how they felt about the lesson. The student's voice is really important, so I will always consider it in each of my lessons.
