About JODI
I am a practising RN, with 15 plus years working within Critical Care and Cardiac Medical and Surgical units. Have extensive experience employed as a level 2 and 3 CN in residential care facilities.
Designed a mentoring programme aimed at improving care provided by Nurse Assistants. Teaching the application of Nursing Diagnosis and how to deliver holistic nursing care that is of high ethical standards.
Critical Care Nursing has provided extensive understanding of the human body and its major functions and systems. With emphasis on disease process.

Previously I mentored through small group sessions. And would spend time exclusively 1 on 1 with those who I identified as not yet achieving a standard of care required for best practice.
I structure my sessions based on what the student has asked to be educated on. From this request I develop a lesson plan covering the entirety of the subject with a focus on the topic in question and then tying it back into the greater subject matter. By bringing the focus concern back into the subject it makes the comprehension more readily attained. Revision questions are proposed at the beginning of the next session to evaluate progress.
