About Chloe
My first career goal is to graduate with my Bachelor of Education Primary degree in the next two years, to then go on and work in a whole classroom of my own.
My teaching philosophy reflects greatly on positivity and ensuring that student morale and attitude when learning is always a must! I want my teaching approaches to result in students who WANT and LOVE to learn, especially from a young age.
As a volunteer for The Smith Family, and running weekly school term learning clubs in Primary schools, it has made me so much more eager to officially have my own class one day.
To see the students excited to see me each week, actively engage with tasks and importantly, learn and improve, is such an achievement.

In the initial lesson, I present an average standard of content to the student, to assess the strengths and weaknesses regarding literacy/reading/writing etc.
Very adaptable to each student's needs. My approaches vary depending on what learning areas require strengthening.
From this initial lesson and becoming aware of the student, including behaviour, attitude, commitment and needs, I can then prepare a lesson sequence, each with a goal in mind, to ensure the student is progressing positively.
Lessons could range from 45 minutes to an hour and a half. Too little time would not be enough to efficiently progress with learning, and too much time creates overstimulation and poor enthusiasm.
Primary-aged students who struggle with reading and writing are my targeted level and age area for tutoring. Currently volunteer with The Smith Family and do exactly this in primary school clubs.
