Brandon is excellent at communicating his knowledge to students at all levels. He is extremely respected by all of his peers, and does a phenomenal job of meeting people wherever they are at in their studies. Having worked with him various times throughout the last few years, I can confirm that he is extremely studious and meticulous, while at the same time bringing a great energy to whomever he is working with.

Last summer, I’ve had the privilege of knowing Brandon not just as a musician, but as a genuinely kind and dedicated person. His love for the cello runs deep it’s not just something he plays, it’s something he feels. He brings patience, curiosity, and heart to every note.

Brandon is encouraging, calm, and incredibly thoughtful , the kind of teacher who meets you where you are and helps you grow with confidence. He understands that learning an instrument isn’t just about technique, it’s about building belief in yourself.

I met Brandon while studying at the Juilliard School. He is a great cellist and the kindest person I have ever met. He has a brilliant technique while preserves the most faithful and organic interpretation of any piece. Having consulted him for a musical advice, he solves the problem instantly and gave me the most astute observation of my playing. Highly recommended.
