About Carla

I am passionate about teaching and show this through enthusiastic and engaging lessons. I try and make learning fun and will always aim to adapt to individual needs. I understand how difficult learning can be, so I ensure that I am always patient with my students.

About the lesson

I offer an indivualised and adapted curriculum to best suit you/your child. This involves an initial assessment to discuss needs, level, and how best to support you/ your child. The lessons aim to be scaffolded to facilicate in-depth understanding at a pace which works for you/your child.
Length is 1-1.5 hours.
I have 5 years experience in education, including 2 in a tutoring company, 1 in a high-needs SEND school, and two at my current role (teaching GCSE English and Maths in a college). I have taught a wide variety of young people, with various different needs so I am well-versed in adapting to these needs.
I offer sessions for year 1 up to year 11 for English and Maths, or a bit older for those who may be retaking their English or Maths exams.
