About Maya
I have been tutoring for over 4 years and have aided in SAT increases of over 400 points. I, myself, scored a 1520 SAT, a 5 in AP Calculus AB/BC, graduated at top 1% of my high school class, and have been accepted to top schools such as University of Florida, Duke University, and University of California, Berkeley. I specialize in math anywhere from kindergarten to calculus along with the math portion of the SAT. I believe that in my time as a student I have learned strategies and tactics to improve math knowledge and love spreading this knowledge to help other students tackle the same challenges that I learned to overcome.
*At the moment if the sessions will take place at the student's home then the cost of the transportation must be covered as I cannot drive due to medical reasons at the moment.

I meet with clients over zoom or in-person depending on what is more efficient and comfortable for them. My sessions consist of working on work given in class, practicing skills together, and going over practice exams. I typically ask beforehand to be sent the classwork so that I can look over it and create a lesson plan to use our session time most efficiently. Not only do I go over lessons together, but I create memorization strategies personalized to each client based on how they learn best. All online sessions can be recorded to be viewed afterwards at any time.
