About Savannah
I am a first year University student in the city of Ottawa. As a child, reading techniques and strategies were extremely helpful in developing my joys and skills within the world of reading. I am extremely passionate about anything I put my mind to, and am willing to put the time and energy into ensuring people feel confident about their skills.

A typical session with me would include strategies to become confident and comfortable with reading at a young age. The English language is intimidating, however I feel that with a proper student-tutor connection, reading can be just as fun as anything! I will be using techniques such as sounding out the words sound by sound, assessing different vowel sounds, and looking at the whole sentence to gain an idea of what the word could be. I am different from other tutors, as I can understand that reading may not be the first priority for young students, therefore I approach learning to read in a fun and enjoyable way!
