I have had the privilege of making and sharing music with Ned for years, and that is solely a testament to his love of craft and connection formed through it. Ned is incredibly patient and kind, and that comes equal to his love of music. He steps through things clearly and is an incredible communicator, and the end result is always to an impossibly high standard because of the way he works with others. He works non-stop at learning and growing himself musically as well, and he comes out the other side excited to share and teach. Ned is the perfect tutor if you're looking for someone who is excited to share his love of his work and will help you develop because of it!

I have been playing in a band with Ned for many years. Throughout this time Ned has been extremely competent and diligent in his drumming.
He demonstrates not only technical skill but creativity and the ability to adapt to any requirements. He is definitely the most skilled drummer I know.
But more importantly, Ned is always patient and understanding. He makes time to hear and absorb what he's asked to do on drums and executes it with enthusiasm.
I'm sure if you're a student of Ned's you'll enjoy learning the drums, as he's a great communicator and a lovely person.

I highly recommend Ned as an outstanding drum teacher who builds trust, confidence, and a genuine love for music in his students.

Ned creates a chill, relaxed, and fun learning environment where students feel comfortable to explore, make mistakes, and grow. His calm and friendly approach helps students feel at ease, making lessons enjoyable while still being highly productive.

He is highly skilled at tailoring his teaching to suit students of all ages and skill levels, from complete beginners to advanced drummers. Beyond technique and timing, Ned places strong emphasis on the feel and groove of music, helping students develop true musicality, expression, and confidence in their playing — not just technical ability.

What truly sets Ned apart is his passion for teaching and his ability to balance structured learning with creativity and fun. Students stay motivated, engaged, and excited to improve, while steadily building solid foundations.

Ned is professional, reliable, and genuinely invested in each student’s progress. Parents can trust that their children are learning in a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment, and students can feel confident learning from an inspiring and dedicated mentor.

I would highly recommend Ned to anyone looking for a drum teacher who combines strong musical knowledge, a relaxed teaching style, and a focus on feel, groove, and confidence.
