About Chen

Hello, my name is [陈望舒 Chen WangShu], and I’m a Chinese tutor and host. I’ve always had a deep passion for the Chinese language, especially the cultural beauty and unique expressions it conveys. My journey into Chinese teaching began with my personal fascination with the language and a desire to help others learn and appreciate it. Having worked as a Chinese host for many years, I’ve had the privilege of communicating with people from diverse backgrounds. This experience has made me realize the power of language and the beauty of effective communication. It was through these cross-cultural interactions that I was inspired to teach Chinese and assist others in expressing themselves, understanding Chinese culture, and connecting with people from all over the world. I chose to become a Chinese tutor because I believe that language is more than just a tool for communication – it’s a window into understanding a nation and its culture. Through my lessons, I hope to not only help students improve their language skills but also show them the joy and fulfillment that comes with learning Chinese. As a tutor, my teaching approach focuses on personalized learning. About the lesson

As a Chinese tutor, I tailor my lessons to suit each student's language level, goals, and interests. My teaching methods are flexible and interactive, focusing on practical usage and integrating listening, speaking, reading, and writing to help students master Chinese in real-life contexts.

Typical lessons last between 60 to 120 minutes, but I can adjust the duration based on individual needs.

With years of experience in both Chinese language instruction and professional hosting, I combine accurate Mandarin pronunciation with practical communication skills, helping students not only learn the language but also gain confidence and cultural insight.

My lessons are suitable for learners of all ages and levels, from complete beginners to intermediate students, as well as those seeking to improve speaking fluency, test performance, or public speaking skills.
