I am a high school student as well as current tutor in a program at my school where I assist students in their numeracy and literacy skills, by providing help as well as practicing their homework and providing extra help.

I go through one question with the student(s) to see where they're at. Then, I break down a different problem step by step, outlining everything they need to know and utilizing common methods. Once they've finally caught on to the next few questions, I assign them a few more to do alone for them to apply what they've learned and correct them where necessary.
